Copernicus Academy helped kids build their very first simple robot at the Mueller Farmers Market this weekend!  Kids enthusiastically talked about the basics of engineering and technology and then dove right into the challenge.  They provided the brain power and Copernicus Academy provided the raw materials.


Kids learned about what it means to complete an electrical circuit and about power charges while engineering their robot prototypes with the goal of creating a drawing machine.

The Environmental Science Institute “Hot Science Cool Talks” took place this past Friday, August 28th at UT.  Copernicus Academy participated in the pre-lecture science fair and shared some groovy sustainable activities!  This particular event was pretty cool because it was also in conjunction with the week’s 2 Guys On Your Head segment!

The next time you are at the arts and crafts aisle selecting colors for your latest kid art project, how about also stopping by the produce area?  Better yet, when the spinach in the fridge is withered or the blueberries start to grow feathers, don’t toss in the trash!  Toss in a juicer or a pot of water and make beautiful and natural dye!
